Greetings,
Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) will conduct a 6 hour, partial shutdown of the East Side Water Treatment Plant (ESWTP) on Thursday, April 5, 2012, to allow for construction improvements. The shutdown will start at 9 a.m. and is expected to conclude late Thursday night. DWU Water Operations Staff plan to ensure all of the Wholesale Customers’ tanks and reservoirs are full prior to the shutdown so as to mitigate the effects of the shutdown. Please make the appropriate arrangements to prepare for this event and consider this communication as an official notification of the scheduled shutdown at ESWTP.
In addition, due to the many improvements Dallas is making to its treated water system to ensure an adequate, high quality water supply, other short-term WTP outages are planned for April 10th, April 12th and April 24th. These dates are subject to change based on demands, etc. . DWU Wholesale Services will send out notices regarding these subsequent plant outages a minimum of 48 hours in advance of each planned shutdown.
Please direct any questions or concerns to the Wholesale Services Division (see attached) or you may reply to this e-mail.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sincerely,
Reginald A. Stewart
