The department also provides service to crime victims. The Cockrell Hill Police Department strives to provide the highest quality of services possible within the City's fiscal limitations.

We shall ensure public safety and demonstrate our commitment to all with Honor, Duty and Fidelity.

In service to our community we embrace, and with moral courage advocate these non-negotiable values upon which our policing is based...INTEGRITY, RESPECT, THE LAW AND CONSTITUTION, DIVERSITY, COLLABORATION, CONTINUOUS INNOVATION, EMPOWERMENT, AND PROBLEM SOLVING

Fallen Officers
The Cockrell Hill Police Department is dedicated to the memory of those fallen officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Our sympathy goes out to them and their loved ones. We hope to keep their memory alive by paying tribute to these officers and their services.

                                            Tiffany Catherine Hickey

Officer Hickey died on May 30, 1999, six days after being involved in an accident during a vehicle pursuit. Officer Hickey was the passenger in a patrol car being driven by her Field Training Officer, when they attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding and running a red light.  Approximately three minutes later the FTO swerved to avoid another vehicle in an intersection and struck a light pole.  Officer Hickey had served with the agency for only 1 month.  As Officer Hickey’s passing was so close to National Police Week, each year the Cockrell Hill Police Department holds a memorial service on or as close as possible to her anniversary instead of during Police Week.
